Annie Pans’ Indulgent Truffle Toastie


Gooey melted cheese, red onion, juicy tomatoes and a thick slather of our Truffle Aioli and Red Chilli. This is the sumptuous toastie you’ve been dreaming of.

 

Ingredients:

2 slices of sourdough
Truffle Aioli
Aioli Red Chilli
25g grated cheddar
25g grated mozzarella
1 sliced tomato
½ sliced red onion
30g softened butter

Method:

1. Spread both slices of bread on one side with a generous layer of Truffle Aioli and Aioli Red Chilli. Make sure to go right up to the edges.

2. Cover both sides with a mixture of cheese and layer with sliced tomato and red onion.

3. Put the sandwich together and butter the outside generously.

4. Place a frying pan over medium-low heat, and when it’s up to temperature, add the sandwich. The lower heat will prevent the outside of the sandwich from burning and allow the cheese to melt.

5. Once the sandwich is golden brown on the underside, flip it over and repeat until both sides are crisp and golden and the cheese is melted.

6. Remove from the pan, slice in half and enjoy.
